In honor
of our membership drive to reach 12,000 members for 2015, this week’s #ThrowbackThursday
goes back to the year the ACA had the most members in our history- 1974. That
year, ACA had 18,620 members in the state!
Speaking
of lots of folks, the summer of 1974 was a big time for the Cullman County
Cattlemen and CattleWomen’s Association as it hosted an annual meeting with
over 400 attendees.
Pictured
from left to right are the county leaders of that year- Hoyt Perdue, Vice
President; Edwin Carter, Vice President; Dois Sims, President; Davis Hassell,
Secretary Treasurer; Kenneth Neal, Vice President; W.A. Fullilove, Vice
President. The group had a steak dinner and heard from 1974 ACA President,
Forrest Killough.
